The University of Lucknow has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) at the 'A++' level in July 2022. The NAAC, National Action Plan requires every accredited institution to establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Quality enhancement is a continuous process. The IQAC work towards the realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. It has developed a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the performance of the university.

Goals

  • To develop a quality system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic programmed action to channel all efforts & measures of the institution towards promoting the holistic academic and administrative performance of the Institution.
  • Ensure internalization of quality culture
  • Ensure enhancement and integration among the various activities of the institution and institutionalize good practices

Functions

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process
  • Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents, and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes
  • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education
  • Organization of inter and intra-institutional workshops, seminars on quality-related themes, and promotion of quality circles
  • Documentation of the various programs/activities leading to quality improvement
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including the adoption and dissemination of best practices
  • Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS to maintain/enhance the institutional quality
  • Development of Quality Culture in the institution
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC
  • Handholding of other HEIs affiliated to the University in the process of accreditation

The Team

Dr. Satendra Pal Singh

Is Professor in the Department of Physics, University of Lucknow. He has served as a Research Professor/Senior Researcher at Sejong University, Seoul, South Korea. He has more than 13 years of teaching /research experience after completion of his Ph.D. in 2009 from IIT(BHU) Varanasi and has published more than 63 research articles in international journals of very high repute and 2187 citations, h-index 28, I10- index 48 with an aggregate impact factor of 412 to his credit. Prof. Singh has registered three international (Korean) patents and handled several International/National Funded Projects in South Korea as PI/ Co-PI.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar

Is Associate Professor in the Department of Botany, University of Lucknow. He has rich experience of Yeungnam University, South Korea. He was awarded a PBC Outstanding Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. He has published more than 85 research and review articles, 30 book chapters, and 09 edited books (Springer-Nature; Taylor & Francis Group) with more than 5266 citations and h-index 31 and i10-index-67. He is the recipient of several awards viz., Narasimhan Award, Emerging Scientist Award, Research Excellence award, and Young Scientist Award, and has completed five projects.

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Kharwar

Is Associate Professor in the Department of Zoology, University of Lucknow and has teaching experience of 11 years. He has received several research grants from UGC, SERB, and DHR. He has published 23 research articles in reputed journals . He has delivered talks in various national & international conferences and Reviewer of more than 20 journals of international repute and a member of reputed scientific societies.

Dr. Akanksha Singh

Is Associate Professor, in the Department of Education, University of Lucknow. Recipient of UGC -JRF- SRF and Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Faculty of Education, University of Lucknow. Before joining University of Lucknow, she served as Assistant Professor at Central University of Allahabad, Prayagraj.  She has 15 Years of teaching and research experience. She has Presented papers at around 50 conferences and her publication (National as well as International) includes more than 55 research papers and two books. She has also contributed content for e PG Pathshala and provided consultancy to SIEMAT, Prayagraj.

Ms. Urvashi Sirohi

Is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, University of Lucknow. Currently, she is also pursuing her Ph.D. at I.I.T Bombay, where she is studying public health insurance schemes in India. Prior to that, she completed her M. Phil dissertation on center-state fiscal transfer in India from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She is the recipient of Faculty Research Fellowship of RBI.

Dr. Rishi Kant

Is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, University of Lucknow, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. He holds a PhD in Service Quality Management and Consumer Behaviour from Central University of Himachal Pradesh. He has more than 7 years of teaching experience and has good research experience. He is very fond of research with new and innovative ideas. More than 20 of his publications have been published in reputed journals including Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Marketing Intelligence and Planning, Benchmarking: An International Journal, Internal Journal of Emerging Markets and Vision to name a few. With a citation count of more than 2023, his h-index is 12 and his i10-index is 13.

Dr. Sunil Kumar Rai

Is an Assistant Professor, in the Department of Chemistry, University of Lucknow. He is a recipient of CSIR-JRF and SRF for Ph.D. research at BHU, SERB-NPDF for postdoctoral research at CSIR-NCL, Pune, and I-PDF at TIFR Hyderabad. He has contributed his research experience in the drug discovery and development programs in CRO, CDMO and Pharmaceutical Industries (in Aragen Life Science, Sai Life Sciences, and Mankind Pharma). After joining the University of Lucknow, he received a research grant as PI from SERB-State University Research Excellence (SURE). He has published 23 research Articles and a book chapter as the first/corresponding author in ACS, RSC, Wiley, Springer and Elsevier journals. He is reviewer of various ACS and RSC journals. He has presented his research work in more than 20 national/international conferences and workshops.

Dr. Vinod Kumar

Is an Assistant Professor in Chemistry at the University of Lucknow. He earned his Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee in 2016 in Chiral Separation. His research focuses on chromatographic analysis, analytical chemistry, and chiral resolutions. He has published 103 research papers, authored books and chapters, and holds three Indian patents. He received research grant from UPCST. A recipient of multiple awards, he has guided three doctoral theses and organized several conferences. He serves on editorial boards of renowned journals (BMC Chemistry, BMC Methods, Scientific reports, Plos one and some other). Listed among Stanford University's top 2% researchers (2023 & 2024), he actively contributes to international scientific committees.

Dr. Shambhavi Mishra

Is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics, University of Lucknow, since February 2016. After completing her Master's in Statistics from Lucknow University in 2011, she worked as a Statistical Fellow in SGPGI's Department of Biostatistics & Health Informatics. She has also worked as a Biostatistician and Data Analyst for the Bill & Melinda Gates-funded Community Empowerment Lab based in Lucknow Her specialization encompasses Biostatistical Modellling, Epidemiology & Survival analysis, Survey Sampling, Multivariate Analysis, Analysis of Variance, and Design of Experiments and data analysis using SPSS, R, STATA and Python. She has 35 research publications in high impact factor journals such as The Lancet Global Health, American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Environmental and Molecular Mutagenesis to name a few. She has given many invited lectures and paper presentations at national and international conferences.She represented India twice at the WHO Data Analysts' Meets in Geneva and once at the Stanford School of Medicine, Stanford University, USA.

Dr. Rupam Lal Howlader

Is an Assistant Professor in Department of Law, Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow. He obtained B.A.LL.B (Hon’s), LL.M. and Ph.D. from Department of Law, University of Calcutta. He was a reciepient of UGC Junior Research Fellowship during his Ph.D . He has more than 9 years of teaching and research experience in several reputed institutions in India. He has presented papers in seminars, conferences etc. on numerous occasions and also published a number of research articles in his credit. His thrust area on teaching and research includes Constitutional Law and Human Rights.

Dr. Ansh Sharma

Is an Assistant Professor, Department of English and Modern European Languages, University of Lucknow. She has completed her higher education from the University of Lucknow and during her eight years of experience in the field of academia, she has developed her learning through the interactions with students of graduate and postgraduate levels. She has presented research papers at national and international conferences and published research articles in the field of Culture Studies, Religion Studies, Indian Literature, American Literature and British Literature. Her leisure activities include reading, solo- travelling, dancing, enjoying music and day- dreaming.
