About the Cooperative Learning Library:

 Co-operative Lending Library, popularly well known as C.L.L., is Text-Book based library which is, popular library among students of Lucknow University. The library Strengthen the roots of student.     Co-operative Lending Library was launched in the academic session 1966-1967 by the State Government to lend books to economically Under privileged Graduate and Post Graduate students for the whole session to be restored only after their examination are over. The library which issues books to students for two semesters against a nominal fee of Rs. 250. There is a provision to keep the books till the exams. The library promotes the students and faculty to donate their academic books to the library from time to time, promoting its cooperative spirit.

Library Rules and Regulations

  • Membership Fees for Under Graduate and Post Graduate, University student of all Faculty is Rs. 250=00 for a session.
  • The library open at 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Membership are throughout open to both U.G. as well as P.G. students.
  • The students are issued the books for a session respectively, students can exchange their books during session and they returned the books within a week after their examination over.
  • Only Discipline specific books are issued.
  • Photocopy facility at a nominal cost of Rs.1 per page.
  • Different counters for specially abled students, girls and boys.

Followup Mechanism:

  • If the student does not return the books on time, a notice is sent on the parent’s address, without no dues from the library, student does not get a Migration Certificate.

Procurement of Books:

  • Books are purchased as per the requisitions made by the students and Department Heads.
  • Curriculum requirements are taken into account during purchase.
  • Discipline specific Costlier books and Books in Demand are ensured in larger numbers.
  • Demand Based issuing of Books-Costlier Books are issued to a group of students who use it on a rotation basis.
