Named after the martyr, Chandra Shekhar Azad Hall was a boy’s hall till 2006. With an increasing number of girls getting admission in the University it was converted to a hall for the girl students of the University in December 2007 and is commonly referred to CSA hall.
The CSA Hall has an impressive architecture with lush green ambience. The hall has 82 double seated and four 4-seated rooms with a functional capacity of 176. Each is fully furnished. There is facility of indoor games like ludo, carom, chess, table tennis etc. There is a functional gym, a cultural room and a TV room. There are two pantries with induction, refrigerator, and microwave inside the hall premises. Regular supply of newspapers and magazines in Hindi and English are available in the library/reading room. There is a small canteen and a temple at the entrance near the visitors lounge. The hall is equipped with solar installation. The entire hall is under CCTV surveillance and has intercom connection.
All festivals such as New Year, Lohri, Republic day, Annual sports day, Saraswati puja, Farewell party, Holi, Navratri, Independence day, Fresher’s party, Janmastmi, Christmas are celebrated in a big way.
Various intra-hall cultural competitions are organized such as Essay writing, Poster /Collage making, Pot painting, Rangoli, Slogan writing, Wall Painting,
Singing, Dancing, Skit, Just a minute, Debate, Poetry, Mehendi, Best out of waste, Salad making, and Cookery. Annual sports and games events are also organized annually for eg. Atheletics, Badminton, Kho-kho, Kabaddi, Volley ball, Table-tennis, Tug-of-war, Indoor games etc.
A comfortable and safe stay for all the inmates is ensured at CSA.
